Mary Braun provides and cute little book on Instant Messaging. She has some good ideas about how to parent an IM’er.


M. Bugeja, Interpersonal Divide: The Search for Community in a Technological Age  (New York: Oxford Press, 2005).
Michael Bugeja provides an excellent look at the theory behind computer mediated communication. Although it is used as a college textbook, it is filled with important insights into how technology impacts interpersonal communication.


A. Gunn, Ping! The Yahoo!Messenger Guide to All Things IM (New York: Sterling Publishing Co., 2005).
Gunn provides a wonderful little book about Instant Messenger that is perfect reading for young people. It is entertaining at the same time it provides good online tips.


J. Jewel, Wired for Ministry: How the Internet, Visual Media, and Other Technologies can Serve Your Church (Grand Rapids, MI: Brazos Press, 2004).
John Jewel provides a nice overview of how technology can be integrated into church-wide ministry. He challenges readers to ask specific questions about how the technology, whether it be powerpoint in worship services or information on church websites, will help them meet the their ministry goals.

Quentin Schultz provides a challenging discussion of how we can approach technology from a thoughtful and moral-based perspective.
